Hon. Gary E. Strankman (Ret.), former Presiding Justice of the California Court of Appeal, is widely recognized as a creative consensus-building leader with strong management skills. - Has particular expertise in resolving a wide variety of matters including allocation disputes between insurers, insurance coverage, employment discrimination, personal injury, asbestos, commercial litigation, real estate/real property, and condemnation issues
- Under Justice Strankman's direction, the First District Court of Appeal implemented a successful mediation program for cases on appeal and increased efficiency with a web site that allowed the public to view case information
- As presiding judge, he actively promoted settlement programs and personally supervised hundreds of settlement conferences and presided over numerous complex civil court trials
