Judge Cardenas has successfully mediated and arbitrated hundreds of employment law cases since his retirement from the Superior Court. He has been a member of the JAMS employment specialty panel since 1996.

He served on the Orange County Superior Court bench for over 20 years. During his tenure, Judge Cardenas presided over court and jury trials involving wrongful termination, gender discrimination, racial discrimination, sexual harassment, and employer-employee contractual disputes.
