Justice King is deeply familiar with insurance-related disputes. As an appellate court justice and trial judge, he oversaw numerous matters involving a wide variety of insurance issues. He also held frequent settlement conferences as a justice and judge to resolve insurance cases at every stage of litigation.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Justice King spent 19 years practicing civil litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in liability claims.
