Louis J. Knobbe, Esq. is an accomplished intellectual property attorney and dispute resolution professional with more than 40 years of experience serving a worldwide roster of clients, including public and private companies at various stages of growth, from start-up to Fortune 500. His ADR practice centers on issues involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition, trade secrets, and right of publicity, and contract disputes involving technology including medical devices, telecommunications, computer systems, and software.

He has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in the U.S. and foreign patent offices as well as handled appeals before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Board of Appeals and Interferences and Court of Customs and Patent Appeals.

Mr. Knobbe is the co-founder of Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear LLP, one of Southern California’s premier intellectual property law firms. He is recognized as Southern California Super Lawyer in Intellectual Property and ADR from Law & Politics Media and has frequently lectured for the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
