Representative Matters

  • Martin Quinn has handled the following recent class action matters:
    • Special Master in an MDL class and individual actions in San Francisco involving antitrust claims against manufacturers of LCD flat panels
    • Settled several consumer class actions involving credit card practices of national banks
    • Settled several false advertising matters regarding labels of food products, clothing, and other consumer products
    • Mediated a case involving hundreds of toxic tort personal injury and property damage claims arising out of release of petroleum products from pipeline in Northern California
    • Resolved class relief and attorney fee issues in consumer class actions involving diverse issues, such as telephone calling cards, breakfast food and credit card practices 
    • Settled a case involving hundreds of toxic tort personal injuries from a massive tire fire in the Central Valley of California
    • Settled attorneys’ fee claims in approximately 35 class actions in about 20 states alleging improper late fees charged by cable televisions companies
    • Discovery referee in state-wide class action against a bank for alleged mismanagement of municipal bond portfolios
