JAMS Sponsors Global Pound Conference in San Francisco & Los Angeles
February 06, 2017
SAN FRANCISCO – JAMS is proud to serve as a Silver Sponsor of the iconic Global Pound Conference (GPC) series, which aims to improve the way disputes are resolved in the business environment. The next events in the United States include San Francisco on February 24 and Los Angeles on March 16.
“JAMS is very proud to support the Global Pound Conference and work alongside the other impressive organizations as together, we increase access to ADR around the world,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO.
The conference is set to look at the significant impact the original Pound Conference had on the whole movement globally, as well as share best practice and the latest developments from across the world to streamline the whole ADR process in the U.S. Speakers from JAMS includes Hon. Wayne Brazil (Ret.), Richard Chernick, Esq., Bruce Edwards, Esq. and Hon. Rebecca Westerfield (Ret.).
The historic Pound Conference, originally named in honour of Roscoe Pound, dean of Harvard Law School in the 1920s and 30s, was originally held in the U.S. in 1975 and led to the birth of the modern dispute resolution system.
Now, 40 years later, the GPC Series will continue to play host to more than 5,000 people, in 40 cities across 31 countries worldwide throughout 2017. In addition to gathering valuable data from each conference, the GPC will create the opportunity to identify trends and cultural preferences in a way that has not been possible through any previous studies.
Using a common technology platform, participants will answer and discuss 20 core questions, which will create a pool of data that will be gathered and analysed throughout the entire GPC Series.
JAMS will also sponsor the GPC event in Miami on April 6. To participate in the GPC Series and register for either the San Francisco, Los Angeles or Miami events, please visit https://www.jamsadr.com/global/.
