Judge Westmoreland joins JAMS from the Superior Courts of Georgia, where he is very highly regarded for his settlement skills in a broad range of law, especially business/commercial and family law matters. His extensive experience, patience, persistence, fairness, and calm demeanor have built him a solid reputation for resolving even the most complex and sensitive issues.

Judge Westmoreland is in his 28th year on the bench following eleven years of private practice. He has conducted hundreds of Judicially Hosted Settlement Conferences in the Superior Court. At JAMS, the judge will apply his resolution skills to mediation, arbitration, and neutral analysis case evaluation.

The judge served for over six years in the Superior Court of Fulton County Family Court Division and was instrumental in helping to create the Business Court Division in 2005. In 2008, he became the Division’s first full-time judge and has served as a senior judge in the Business Court since 2011.
