Hon. Rosemarie Annunziata (Ret.) brings to JAMS over thirty years of distinguished judicial and legal experience as an appellate judge, trial judge, and trial attorney. In the course of her career, she has been engaged in virtually every type of dispute, from business, commercial, and corporate matters to personal injury, employment, workers compensation, real estate, condemnation, family and estate disputes.  She is known for her informed management of the case, excellent interpersonal skills, preparation, perseverance, and commitment to the expeditious, fair resolution of disputes. “Her integrity and application of the law in an objective and evenhanded fashion is beyond reproach,” commented one counsel representing a client in arbitration. “She was simply outstanding.  The best mediation experience for me in over 17 years of practice and over 100 mediations,” was the comment of another.    

Representative Matters

Business: Contract, fraud, business torts, partnership and shareholder disputes, violations of the Truth in Lending Act, the Federal Fair Credit Billing Act, and the Virginia Consumer Protection Act, Uniform Commercial Code and the Uniform Computer Information Transaction Act matters and breach of fiduciary duty claims.

Employment: Employment contracts alleging breach of express and implied contracts; discrimination and wrongful termination based on race, gender, age, national origin, and pregnancy, sexual harassment claims, violations of public policy; retaliation claims and state Whistleblowers Act violations, workers compensation disputes.

Real Estate: Commercial and residential real estate claims including land use and zoning disputes, commercial lease disputes, and claims arising under the Virginia Wet Settlement Act.

Torts: Claims based on business torts, fraud, negligence, medical malpractice, automobile products liability, defamation, interference with contract, and prospective economic advantage

Family Law: Multiple child custody, visitation and support disputes.
