Hon. Jay C. Gandhi (Ret.) mediated an $85 million settlement in a privacy action brought by Arizona’s Attorney General against Alphabet Inc.’s Google regarding user location data.
The Attorney General alleged that Google engaged in unfair practices, including “dark patterns,” when tracking location data. Google denied the allegations and noted “[t]he case is based on outdated practices that we changed years ago.”
