Hon. Richard Silver (Ret.) has successfully resolved hundreds of personal injury matters, including disputes involving allegations of equipment and manufacturer defects, auto accidents, wrongful death, sexual abuse, dental malpractice, and medical malpractice. Many of these cases have arisen in agri-business settings involving worker’s compensation claims and insurance issues. He is particularly adept at handling complex and highly sensitive matters, and is recognized for his compassion, commitment, and diligence.

    • Mediated a bodily injury case involving claims of premises liability against a major grocery chain
    • Mediated dispute resulting from a dog attack which caused severe injuries
    • Resolved a complex dental malpractice case
    • Mediated trip and fall case against an elevator maintenance company for claims of significant back injuries and other damages 
    • Resolved a multi-party dispute against a French yacht manufacturer by plaintiff claiming a faulty winch snapped causing the line to nearly sever a leg
    • Mediated a dispute involving an accident at an agricultural company  including third party workers’ compensation claims
    • Handled a highly sensitive dispute regarding claims by young boy of sexual abuse against a man allegedly having lured him into relationship
    • Resolved a complex product liability dispute, including employer negligence and worker's compensation claims, regarding alleged defects in farm equipment leading to significant injury
    • Mediated case involving injuries resulting from mold, mildew, and property damage
  • Personal Injury – Auto
    • Multiple cases involving intoxicated drivers causing a variety of injuries and/or fatalities
    • Mediated multi-million dollar settlement of a construction site rear-end automobile collision which resulted in significant brain damage injury
    • Emotional case involving a car crashing off of a cliff near Big Sur which resulted in multiple injuries to surviving passengers and one wrongful death
