About the Event Panelists include litigators from the Plaintiff and Defense Bar, in-house counsel, and two veteran mediators. Topics to be discussed include: how to best prepare a case for mediation; the importance of the mediation brief; maximizing the joint session, including opening statements; effective negotiation within a mediation; using the mediator to your best advantage, and strategies for getting beyond impasse. The panel will also address, from the mediator and advocate perspective, the role gender can play during a complex mediation.
