From the Bench to JAMS: the Role of Women as Jurists, Mediators and Arbitrators
Presented by JAMS, Atlanta Bar Association – Women in the Profession and Young Lawyer’s Division of the State Bar or Georgia
About the EventFor eight years, JAMS has had the distinct pleasure of collaborating with the Women in the Profession (WIP) section of the Atlanta Bar Association on joint educational programming relating to gender and diversity in Alternative Dispute Resolution. This year, we are thrilled to announce that JAMS and WIP will co-sponsor our 2019 CLE event in partnership with the Young Lawyer’s Division of the State Bar of Georgia. In celebration of Mediation Week, we invite you to a timely discussion titled “From the Bench to JAMS: the Role of Women as Jurists, Mediators and Arbitrators.” This program, moderated by WIP Chair Emily Ward (Chilivis Cochran Larkins & Bever LLP), will examine the professional journeys of Judges Cindy Wright, Gail Tusan and Wendy Shoob. These trailblazing women transitioned from careers as advocates to jurists and now serve as members of JAMS esteemed panel. Our interactive and lively discussion will specifically examine the impact of gender and other forms of diversity on their journey. Credit1.5 hours of General CLE credit |
