About the Event

We are very pleased to invite you to the upcoming International Commercial Arbitration Academy, presented by the California Lawyers Association (CLA) and JAMS. This half-day program will be hosted in the new JAMS Los Angeles International Arbitration Center. The program will also be telecasted to the JAMS San Francisco Resolution Center for viewing.

Thanks to new legislation, a major impediment to international arbitration in California has been removed. This has created new opportunities for California to be the “seat” of far more international commercial disputes, creating exciting, new business developments for California lawyers.

This program will provide you with invaluable guidance on the international arbitral process, including selection and drafting of international dispute resolution agreements, governing laws and rules, timing, selection of arbitrators, effective advocacy, potential interim relief and enforcement of awards. Panelists include seasoned international commercial litigators and experienced international arbitrators. The program will also include special remarks from JAMS President and CEO, Chris Poole.
