Behavioral Health Access & Payment: Covid's Impact and Where We Go From Here
Friday, April 29, 2022

Rates of mental illness and substance abuse are at all-time highs, and the incapacity of the U.S. healthcare system to serve the growing populace needing help reveals the lack of access exacerbated by the COVID-19 epidemic. Further significant industry challenges are exposed when simultaneously advancing and building payment and delivery system flexibilities, emergency funding, and implementing other strategies during the pandemic. Our panel will discuss how a more active and deliberate focus for meaningful behavioral health measurement, alignment, payment, and delivery system reform will ensure that mental health treatment is considered a critical component of the healthcare system.
