Lawrence Pollack - Mediating Reinsurance Arbitration Disputes

The panel discussion will explore when is mediation appropriate in an insurance or reinsurance dispute and why is mediation appropriate in an insurance or reinsurance dispute. The panel will look at role of the mediator in designing the mediation process, implement that process and molding the process to forge agreement among the parties. We will explore how to structure a mediation for success. We will explore what makes for a good mediator, and how can the parties help the mediator be successful. We will also look at how to avoid the pitfalls in a mediation and how to resurrect a mediation that is heading in the wrong direction.
