LOS ANGELES – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Elliot K. Gordon, Esq. to its panel. Mr. Gordon will be based in the JAMS Los Angeles Resolution Center and serve as a mediator, arbitrator and special master in a variety of disputes including Business/Commercial, Class Actions/Mass Tort, Employment, Health Care and Insurance disputes.
Mr. Gordon joins JAMS after establishing his ADR practice in 2015 and spending 30 years in private practice and as an in-house counsel. He has served in leadership positions in the legal departments of two of the nation’s largest health care companies, where he oversaw the entire litigation portfolio, including individual and class claims brought under ERISA, the Knox-Keene Act, the California Insurance Code, Business & Professions Code Section 17200, antitrust laws and the Confidentiality of Medical Information Act, as well as numerous disputes involving claims of breach of contract and bad faith.
While in-house, Mr. Gordon also was responsible for all employment litigation, and managed intellectual property disputes, derivative shareholder actions, insurance coverage disputes and contract disputes involving vendors. Mr. Gordon practiced as a litigator for 13 years specializing in the full range of individual and collective employment disputes including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour, employee benefits and employment contract disputes.
Elliot is known for his preparation, even-keeled nature and sharp intellect. Counsel say he understands all aspects of health care law and works effectively with both sides of the aisle. We’re thrilled to have him on our panel.
