What does JAMS stand for?

The Hon. H. Warren Knight (Ret.) founded J•A•M•S in 1979. During that time our panel included retired judges and JAMS was an acronym for Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services, Inc. (J•A•M•S). Since then we have grown.

Through a combination of the expertise of our associates and distinguished neutrals and effective business practices, we have set the standard for ADR providers nationwide. Now we are JAMS, a distinguished global panel of retired judges and attorneys with uncompromising objectivity who are capable of resolving the most complex disputes where the parties appear to be unyielding.

JAMS doesn't just resolve disputes—we solve problems. Learn more about our ADR services.
