About the Event

The CLM Annual Conference is the largest claims association conference in the country. With more than 90 sessions on a wide range of topics, you’ll find many sessions that fit well with the work you do. Sessions are offered in a variety of areas and are interactive with leaders guiding the conversation, not speaking at you. Share your experiences, ask questions and learn from others. Discuss industry best practices, share tips and learn from the best. The CLM Annual Conference offers a wonderful mix of education and networking so you’ll learn, be inspired and motivated when you return to the office.

Tell Me Lies — Advanced Strategies for Dealing with Fraud

These experienced panelists will discuss their involvement in detecting lies from the underwriting to the claim and the most innovative ways they combat these untruths. The session will also address the all too common occurrence of a lying witness and an unethical lawyer. Session facilitators will discuss their experience in exposing lies in litigation and using them to garner a favorable settlement or outright dismissal. Participants will also discuss innovative strategies for wrangling untruthful counsel and discuss long-term partnerships that can be fruitful in detecting and combating future fraud.
