JAMS Neutrals, Ryan Abbott and Hiro Aragaki, will be speakers in the program titled “Cross-Border IP and Commercial Dispute Resolution.” This panel features a diverse group with expertise in varying facets of dispute resolution. They will focus on alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”) in the context of resolving cross-border commercial disputes as well as those involving intellectual property. It will provide a general introduction to ADR and how it can be used effectively as a complementary or alternative approach to litigation. The panel will highlight some of the unique features of ADR in the context of intellectual property disputes, such as multi-jurisdiction patent infringement and licensing matters. It will discuss recent ADR developments in the Indian context, as well as in fields such as the life sciences. Finally, it will consider the use of online dispute resolution and AI in the ADR process.
