Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholarship Luncheon

JAMS is a proud sponsor of the Ruth Whitehead Whaley Luncheon, presented by the Association of Black Women Attorneys (ABWA). This event will honor outstanding Black women attorneys and law students in the legal community. Established over 23 years ago, the Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholarship Luncheon’s central purpose is to further ABWA’s mission of “Lifting as We Rise.” Aligned with that mission, ABWA has awarded scholarships to law students who have demonstrated a financial need, exhibited an interest in the public sector or civil rights law, and are active participants in community service initiatives. The scholarship serves to supplement the cost of the students’ legal education.
