JAMS neutral Hon. Randa M. Trapp (Ret.) has been invited to speak on "Court-Connected Mediation in California and the Use of Technology" at the ADR & ODR International Symposium in Trento, Italy hosted by the University of California, San Diego, (Division of Extended Studies’ Legal Programs) and The University of Trento (Law School), this summer June 17-21, 2024.

In collaboration with Steinbeis (Germany) and Resolutia (Italy), the symposium will feature engaging presentations by professors, workshops with top European and US mediators, and simulations with Honorable Retired Judges from California.

The symposium will be held in the quaint city of Trento, richly steeped in Medieval, and Renaissance history, and strategically located close to Verona, Venice, and the World Heritage Site of the Dolomites alpine region.

In addition to the immersive curriculum, the full program includes a guided visit of the city of Trento and the 13th Century Buonconsiglio Castle, a wine tasting experience, dinner at the historic Palazzo di Roccabruna, and one full day guided tour of Verona. 

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive an advanced mediation training (20 hours) certificate from the University of California San Diego in partnership with the University of Trento.

Additionally, UCSD certifies this activity is approved by the State Bar of California for 20 hours MCLE credit.
