Cultural awareness can help the neutral decipher and defuse fraught situations. Understanding and working with cultural differences can profoundly impact the environment and the pace of a mediation. The members of this panel will explore how to recognize cultural factors that may affect the parties and the mediator and discuss how mediators may choose to respond to cultural differences in ways that help the parties work together.
