Ann T. Marshall, Esq.,
joined JAMS as a full-time mediator after more than 25 years as a trial lawyer. Ms. Marshall began her legal career in criminal defense. In her subsequent commercial litigation practice, spanning more than 20 years, she represented multiple Fortune 100 companies, working in conjunction with their in-house legal teams, as well as individuals rarely if ever involved in litigation. She handled complex, multi-party cases through trial and appeal in state and federal courts. Ms. Marshall was the managing partner of her prior law firm’s Seattle office, responsible for litigated cases in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. She has deep experience in real estate, commercial finance and consumer lending.

In 2012, Ms. Marshall completed mediation training at the top-ranked Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. Dedicated to honing her skills, she returned to Pepperdine multiple times for additional courses, and she attended the annual Northwest Dispute Resolution Conference at the University of Washington School of Law many times.

Ms. Marshall believes there is no one-size-fits-all method to resolve disputes. She works diligently to understand parties’ circumstances and uses her many years of litigation experience, problem solving and dispute resolution skills dynamically to help achieve settlement.
