ORANGE – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Lou M. Marlin, Esq. to its panel. Mr. Marlin will be based in the JAMS Orange Resolution Center and serve as a mediator, arbitrator and special master in a variety of disputes including Appellate, Business/Commercial, Construction, Employment, Insurance, Pharmaceuticals/Mass Tort and Personal Injury/Tort.
Mr. Marlin served as a former litigator for more than 40 years. He brings significant trial experience to his practice at JAMS as he has served as both plaintiff and defense counsel. He specializes in resolving a wide variety of disputes and is especially adept at handling large, complex cases, including matters involving class action, mass tort, employment and personal injury issues. He was considered among the top class action attorneys in California, and regularly applies that insight and experience to his practice as a neutral.
“Lou works closely with the parties long before the case begins, determines the largest roadblocks to settlement and excels at resolving even the most sensitive and complex of cases,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “We know he will make an excellent addition to our panel.”
“I have realized how inefficient and ineffective litigation can be and have sought to use ADR as often as possible,” said Mr. Marlin. “I look forward to joining JAMS and starting this next chapter in my professional career.”
Mr. Marlin received his B.A. from University of California, Irvine and earned his J.D. from U.C. Hastings, College of Law.
