Hon. Nancy J. Katz (Ret.) Joins JAMS in Chicago

Experienced lawyer and judge serves as an arbitrator and mediator

New Panelist Announcement

CHICAGO – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Hon. Nancy J. Katz (Ret.) to its panel. Judge Katz will be based in the Chicago Resolution Center and will serve as an arbitrator and mediator to resolve Family Law disputes.

Judge Katz brings 34 years of experience as a lawyer and judge to her JAMS practice. She has focused exclusively on family law issues for the last 22 years, including 17 years as an Associate Judge on the domestic relations bench in Cook County. Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Katz served as Assistant General Counsel for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

A recipient of the prestigious Samuel Berger award, Judge Katz is a sought-after educator in family law issues for judges, attorneys and the general public.

Judge Katz earned a B.A. from Northeastern University and her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
