Boston – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of Steven M. Bauer, Esq., to its panel. Mr. Bauer joins JAMS following a distinguished career with leading international law firm Proskauer, where he co-chaired the firm's national patent and intellectual property group and was a member of its international arbitration practice group.
Based in the Boston Resolution Center, Mr. Bauer will serve as an arbitrator and mediator, handling business and commercial, intellectual property and life sciences disputes.
Mr. Bauer has earned a reputation around the globe as an ADR advocate and as an expert in handling complex matters surrounding technology, life sciences and intellectual property. His direct, business-minded approach coupled with his vast experience, make him an excellent addition to the JAMS panel in Boston.
- Chris Poole, JAMS President and CEO
Mr. Bauer specializes in resolving life sciences and technology disputes, particularly those involving complex patent, trade secret, trademark, copyright and licensing issues. As an advocate, he has been lead trial counsel in over 30 trials involving a wide array of technologies, representing emerging companies, multinational businesses and major research universities, among others. He has tried cases in every major U.S. forum and has argued more than a dozen appeals at the Federal Circuit.
I’ve found that being patient, understanding the technology and its role in the business, and effectively communicating with the parties helps me find creative pathways to successfully resolve disputes. I’m eager to begin helping parties resolve disputes as a neutral at JAMS.
