Please join JAMS for our 7th annual complimentary, half-day MCLE program where we will offer the hard-to-get ethics, substance abuse, and elimination of bias credits, as well as general credits. Donald Person, JAMS	8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.	An Insider’s Perspective on Ethical Dilemmas in ADR - 1.0 Ethics MCLE Credit Advocacy and zealous representation of clients can sometimes create challenging or conflicting situations. This program will explore the Ethical boundaries of those situations.

Cecily Bond (Ret.), JAMS & Cathy Yanni, JAMS	9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.	Elimination of Bias in the Legal Profession - 1.0 Elimination of Bias MCLE Credit This program will explore the current state of diversity in the legal profession, the importance of a diverse work force and ways of eliminating bias.

Leslie Murphy, DLA Piper Martin Quinn, JAMS	1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.	Health Care Mediation: Best Practices 1.0 General MCLE Credit Mediation has become the predominant forum for resolving health care disputes. This panel discussion will include a mediator and two advocates in order to provide different perspectives on concrete “best practices” to make these mediations successful for all parties. Topics include: Preparing for mediation and categorizing the claims in dispute prior to session Negotiation approaches, including sampling techniques Navigating through impasse Effecting changes to claim processing and approval procedures
Gary Davis, JAMS & Hon. Fred K. Morrison (Ret), JAMS	1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.	Effective Advocacy in Mediation - 1.0 General MCLE Credits Attendees will participate in an interactive discussion of ways to mediate disputes while saving time and money in order to reach a fair, efficient resolution. Topics include: Best practices for effective advocacy in mediations Selecting a mediator Preparing the mediator through brief writing, pre-mediation meetings Preparing your client Conducting the mediation session and finding creative ways to get through impasse and dealing with difficult negotiators
