About the Event This year marks the Peggy Browning Fund’s 20th Anniversary! Their mission is to educate and inspire the next generation of law students to become advocates for workplace justice. Since 1997 they have supported nearly 800 law students in 10 week Summer Fellowship programs. The Peggy Browning Fund's New York Awards Reception recognizes leaders in the region for their achievements on behalf of workers. Honorees this year include Carol A. Wittenberg (Arbitrator and Mediator, JAMS), Christopher Erikson (Business Manager, IBEW Local 3), Jane Lauer Barker, Esq. (Partner, Pitta LLP), and M. Patricia Smith, Esq., Special Recognition, (Former Solicitor of Labor). |

Carol A. Wittenberg, a widely respected arbitrator and mediator for 30 years, is well known for the resolution of labor, employment, and securities disputes. Ms. Wittenberg joined JAMS when the firm she co-founded, ADR Associates, merged with JAMS in 2004. |
