About the Event

The 52nd Annual Pacific Coast Labor & Employment Law Conference is organized by the KCBA Labor and Employment Law section and is regarded nationally by labor and employment law experts. For the past 50+ years, the PCLELC has offered a truly unique CLE that features outstanding speakers and materials designed with your needs in mind. It is not only the premier program of its type, the conference awards scholarships go to exceptional law students from the University of Washington and Seattle University who have a demonstrated commitment to labor and employment law.

The presentation will cover the U.S. Supreme Court’s holding in Epic Systems and the practical issues raised by the decision, which will include: What strategies exist for employees to challenge arbitration agreements and class action waivers- whether legal policy, or collective-action based? Can employee advocates still litigate class and collective actions where employers have instituted arbitration agreements with class waivers after litigation has commenced? And many other issues!
