Alternative Dispute Resolution in the Cannabis Industry
Most business owners want to avoid going to court to settle their disputes. Thankfully, that's possible through the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). This session will provide an overview of the types of ADR that exist and how these can be used by the cannabis industry. Attendees will hear accounts of various dispute resolution processes from mediators, arbitrators, lawyers, and business owners who have experienced these first-hand. Speakers will touch on what to include and what not to include in ADR-related contract provisions, and the overall pros and cons of these methods of resolving disagreements will be analyzed.
