JAMS is a proud supporting organization of NYLON Arbitration. In this series of events Kabir Duggal, Michael Fernandez and Frederico Singarajah talk with the leading minds to discuss the similarities and differences in the laws and legal traditions between New York and London, as long standing and established arbitration centres. The speakers hope to weave the two cultures together and help gain a better understanding of their respective practices. As a result, the series has been appropriately named NYLON Arbitration.

The first event will take place on May 22, 2023, hosted by Queen Mary University of London and Lex Anglo-Brasil. The discussion will focus on contractual interpretation and will bring together judges turned arbitrators Sir Bernard Eder and Judge Faith Hochberg to employ their judicial vision and experience to shed light onto the unenviable work of arbitrators in deciphering what the parties must have agreed.

Hosts:

  • Kabir Duggal
  • Michael Fernandez
  • Frederico Singarajah
