From Bankruptcy to Rebirth:  Celebrating Detroit 10 Years into its Resurgence

On the tenth anniversary of Detroit’s emergence from bankruptcy, a new book invites readers to experience a watershed moment firsthand.  In his new book, Grand Bargain:  The Inside Story of Detroit’s Dramatic Journey from Bankruptcy to Rebirth, Chief Judicial Mediator, Hon. Gerald E. Rosen (Ret.), explores Detroit’s miraculous journey through bankruptcy to rebirth.  The narrative charts a path through the largest, most complex municipal bankruptcy in our nation’s history.

A stunning, authoritative account of the heroes and heroines who joined together to rescue an iconic American city, the book is a compelling read for lawyers, alternative dispute resolution enthusiasts, government leaders, educators and anyone interested in American history and Detroit’s place in it.

Please join us at the Detroit Institute of Arts on the evening of November 20th, 2024 to hear from some of the very people who bring the book’s story to life.  The evening will begin with short, topical panel discussions, before moving to a networking reception and book signing in the striking Rivera Court.
