In partnership with the Santa Clara County Bar Association's Family Law Section, JAMS is hosting a reception in the JAMS Silicon Valley Resolution Center, followed by a CLE program, "Private Mediation: A Path to Resolution," featuring Hon. Vanessa A. Zecher (Ret.).
Drawing from her extensive experience on the bench and as a family law practitioner, Judge Zecher is known for her ability to bring parties to resolution. She will share insights and strategies for successful settlement. The program will cover:
- Confidentiality considerations in private mediation.
- Differences between private mediation and a mandatory settlement conference.
- What to include in a mediation statement.
- Should financial/property and custody issues be mediated in the same session?
- What are the benefits of private mediation in a family law matter?
- What are the benefits of a Brief Focused Mediation and what types of family law matters benefit most?
