XVII CAC Congress

JAMS neutral Tony Cole, Esq., FCIArb will be the keynote speaker at the XVII Commercial Arbitration Centre of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CAC) Congress on July 4, 2024 in Lisbon, Portugal. His keynote speech will address the foundations of commercial arbitration in Europe.

The central theme of this congress is "Arbitration and Mediation in Perspective." It will cover topics such as: arbitration and the new frontiers of technology; class actions and third-party funding in arbitration; the standards of the arbitrators' duty of disclosure based on the Halliburton/Abengoa case; and discussion of some successful cases in mediation and recent case law on arbitration.
