This ABTL program brings together retired judges and highly accomplished mediators to share practical steps, proven strategies, and hard-earned insights for strengthening advanced mediation skills and improving outcomes.
Drawing on decades of experience from the bench and the mediation table, the panel will explore what actually moves complex cases toward resolution - including matters involving bet-the-company risk, multiple parties, contested insurance coverage, publicity concerns, and requests for equitable relief. The discussion will highlight the information mediators need to meaningfully evaluate a case, approaches for managing difficult personalities and high-conflict dynamics, and techniques for overcoming impasse with confidence, credibility, and control of the process.
