Retired Oakland County judge still blazing a trail in Michigan

Known as a trailblazer, retired judge Denise Langford Morris has had a lifetime of firsts, most notably as the first African American and first female dean of the Oakland County Circuit Court.

She’s now a neutral at JAMS and was featured on a recent newscast for her accomplishments throughout her career. Learn more about Judge Langford Morris and why she was celebrated as one of “Detroit’s original power women.”
