Longtime Miami Judge Moves to JAMS
When Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Jose M. Rodriguez stepped off the bench after more than 30 years of service in December, it was no retirement.
The longest-serving judge in the circuit started his new gig at JAMS the day after hanging up his black robe. He told the Daily Business Review in a Monday phone interview that the transition from the courtroom to the private mediation room has been smooth, and with three cases under his belt in the first month on the job, he’s raring for more.
“It’s certainly transitioning slowly but smoothly...I would hope at some point I’ll be working on a daily basis,” he said.
