Q&A: Tamara Lange at California International Arbitration Week

In this Daily Journal livestream interview from California International Arbitration Week, JAMS neutral Tamara Lange, FCIArb, discusses the path that led her to international arbitration, drawing on experience as a litigator, as a former leader of the federal court mediation program in San Francisco and now as both a mediator and arbitrator at JAMS. In the conversation, she reflects on the growing range of cross-border matters in her practice, including disputes involving cryptocurrency, employment and intellectual property, and offers a practical view of how international work often intersects with U.S.-based proceedings.

Lange also highlights one of the most pressing issues facing arbitration today: how tribunals evaluate the authenticity and reliability of evidence in an era shaped by deepfakes, disputed chain of custody and rapidly evolving technology. Her thoughtful comments on evidentiary standards, coupled with her perspective on California’s role as a hub for international arbitration, make this interview a compelling watch for counsel, arbitrators and others following developments in the field.
