“Jim has extensive ADR experience and a deep understanding of the financial and securities industries and the laws and regulatory rules that govern them,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “We’re thrilled to have him join JAMS and be a part of our financial markets group as well.”
“JAMS is one of the best in the industry and provides superior quality work and I look forward to this opportunity,” said Mann. “Additionally, I know my years at Merrill Lynch have given me some excellent ADR experience and I’m excited to continue utilizing my skills.”
From 1996 to 2003, Mann oversaw all litigation relating to Merrill Lynch’s investment banking and institutional businesses in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia. From 2003 until 2010, he was similarly responsible for litigation involving the firm’s International Wealth Management Division. He also played an instrumental role in the settlement of numerous complex disputes, including serving as an advocate or neutral in numerous ADR proceedings.
Mann graduated with his B.A. magna cum laude from St. Peter’s College in New Jersey and received his law degree from Columbia Law School, where he was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
