JAMS Celebrates Atlanta Expansion and Relocation to One Atlantic Center

Resolution Center News Panelist News

Atlanta - JAMS, The Resolution Experts, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, this week celebrates the opening of its expanded Resolution Center in a new location in the historic One Atlantic Center building in Midtown Atlanta. Celebration events include a welcome reception for local attorneys and others in the legal community.

The move significantly expands JAMS’ presence in Atlanta and signals JAMS’ commitment to the legal market in the state and the region. It also addresses the need for more space as the number of disputes resolved in Atlanta grows along with the addition of prestigious mediators and arbitrators. The most recent neutral to join the JAMS Atlanta panel is Terrence Lee Croft, Esq., who started with JAMS last year. United States Court of Appeals Judge Stanley F. Birch. Jr. has announced he will join the JAMS panel later this year. JAMS has more than 250 full-time mediators and arbitrators nationwide, many of which will use the new facility.

“Expanding our presence in Atlanta, a key legal market, aligns with our goal to be the ADR provider of choice for leading attorneys and their clients,” said Chris Poole, JAMS President and CEO. “One Atlantic Center provides the perfect venue for us to provide local facilities consistent with the top quality neutrals and ADR services that JAMS offers in Atlanta.”

“This expansion reflects the rise in demand we have seen in the Southeast for ADR services,” said Kimberly Taylor, JAMS Vice President – East/Central and Associate General Counsel. “As attorneys and their clients are looking for more ways to manage litigation and resolution costs, they are utilizing mediation and arbitration. Our new Atlanta Resolution Center provides an upgraded facility to provide these services.”

JAMS, which opened in the new space on June 7, has tripled the size of its office space by leasing nearly 10,000 square-feet in the 50-story One Atlantic Center office tower. The contemporary and spacious Resolution Center with expanded mediation and arbitration hearing rooms provides an environment conducive to resolution. In order to facilitate efficient mediation and arbitration proceedings, it includes a business center and wireless Internet access, which helps attorneys and their clients be productive during their ADR sessions.

The tower, a staple of Atlanta’s skyline, is premier Class A office space noted for its first-class business and lifestyle amenities. JAMS is located on the 26th floor of the building, formerly known as the IBM Tower, which is easily accessible via 14th Street, West Peachtree and Spring Streets. The building is directly accessible from the Arts Center MARTA station, and is less than one mile off Interstate 75/85. The new address is One Atlantic Center, 1201 West Peachtree Street, NW, Suite 2650, Atlanta, Georgia 30309.
