Justice Harry W. Low (Ret.) of JAMS to Receive First Ever Judicial Achievement Award from the Asian American Bar Association

Panelist News Awards
San Francisco – JAMS is proud to announce that its own Justice Harry W. Low (Ret.) will receive the first ever Judicial Achievement Award from the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area. The award will be presented during the 34th Annual Installation Dinner on March 4 in San Francisco.

The AABA Judicial Achievement Award is given to trailblazing judges who best exemplify judicial excellence and community leadership throughout the course of their career. Justice Low was the first Asian American to serve on the San Francisco Municipal Court, went on to serve as the Presiding Justice in the First District of the California Court of Appeals and also served as the Insurance Commissioner for the State of California.

“Justice Low broke down barriers to pave the way for future generations and he is truly deserving of this honor,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “His long career in the Bay area and his stellar reputation in the legal community make him an obvious choice for this award. We’re very proud of Justice Low and commend the AABA for selecting him.”

Justice Low has 25 years of judicial experience in civil, criminal, and government law and has authored opinions on virtually every area of California law. He joined JAMS in 1992 and is well-known throughout the San Francisco legal and insurance communities.
