Joseph B. Pereles, Esq., Joins JAMS in St. Louis
St. Louis – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Joseph B. Pereles, Esq., has joined its panel. Mr. Pereles joins JAMS with over 40 years of legal and business experience.
Mr. Pereles spent 29 years of his career, from 1990 to 2019, as senior vice president of development and general counsel for a privately held hotel company. In that role, he was involved in various areas of operation for 135 hotels in 24 states. He started his legal career at Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale PC, where he practiced for 12 years. He is known for his deep understanding of complex business issues, particularly in the hospitality industry, and for managing events of mass effect.
Based in the St. Louis Resolution Center , Mr. Pereles will serve as an arbitrator, mediator and neutral evaluator, handling banking, business and commercial, franchise and distribution, intellectual property, personal injury and real estate/real property matters. He is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients across the country and internationally.

Mr. Pereles has managed and resolved a wide range of disputes in the business and nonprofit spaces, including insurance recovery, labor and employment, and commercial contract matters, as well as significant national and international crises, including Hurricane Katrina, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and an aviation disaster. In addition to his legal experience, Mr. Pereles has a lifelong commitment to public service. He has volunteered with the American Red Cross for decades, from serving as national vice chair of its National Board of Governors to personally joining disaster response teams.

Mr. Pereles earned his B.S. from the University of Utah and his J.D./MBA from Washington University.
