Boston – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Hon. Stephen E. Neel (Ret.) to its panel. Judge Neel will be based in the JAMS Boston Resolution Center. He will specialize as an arbitrator, mediator and special master for disputes in a variety of areas including Administrative Law, Business/Commercial, Class Actions, Construction, Employment, Insurance, Intellectual Property, Personal Injury/Torts, Professional Liability, Real Property and Securities.
Judge Neel managed and tried hundreds of civil cases during his almost 19 years as a Superior Court judge. He presided in the Business Litigation Session (BLS) of the Massachusetts Superior Court during 2008 to 2010. He also served for five years as a Regional Administrative Justice for Civil Business for Middlesex County and chaired the Superior Court’s Subcommittee on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
“Judge Neel has resolved numerous complex litigation cases,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “His breadth of experience throughout his long tenure on the bench as well as his chairmanship of the ADR Subcommittee will make him an excellent addition to our Boston panel.”

Judge Neel graduated with his B.A., cum laude, from Amherst College and received his law degree from Harvard Law School.
