Retired Judge Hon. Sherrie L. Krauser Joins JAMS in Maryland

GREENBELT, MD – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Hon. Sherrie Lavine Krauser (Ret.) to its panel. Judge Krauser will be based in the JAMS Maryland Resolution Center and is available to resolve a variety of disputes including Business/Commercial, Employment, Family Law, Personal Injury/Torts and Professional Liability.

Judge Krauser joins JAMS after more than 20 years as a distinguished Maryland trial judge. Her broad experience, including her special expertise in family law and complex civil litigation, informs her efforts to help parties resolve diverse issues.

“Judge Krauser is known for her skillful analysis of complex legal issues and her ability to encourage open communication among opposing parties,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “We’re looking forward to her joining us in Maryland.”

“As a judge, I particularly enjoyed using ADR techniques to help parties avoid the financial and emotional toll of long trials," Judge Krauser noted. “I’m excited to join JAMS working alongside the premiere Maryland panel.”

Judge Krauser received her B.A., with honors, from University of Maryland and her J.D. from Duke University School of Law. She was recognized three times by The Daily Record as one of the Top 100 Women in Maryland and was inducted into the Circle of Excellence in 2013.
