Hon. Gerald Rosen (Ret.) Honored by American Friends of the Hebrew University

JAMS Neutral receives The American Friends of the Hebrew University Torch of Learning Award on September 12

DETROIT – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, is proud to announce that Hon. Gerald Rosen (Ret.) will receive the prestigious Torch of Learning Award presented by the American Friends of the Hebrew University. The AFHU Torch of Learning Award is conferred upon legal professionals known for their leadership, scholarship, public service and philanthropic engagement. The award will be presented to him at their Torch of Learning Awards Dinner on September 12 in Detroit.

Judge Rosen joined JAMS after 26 years of distinguished service on the federal bench. While on the bench, Mr. Rosen has years of experience facilitating settlements between parties in a great many cases, including highly complex Multi-District Litigation (MDL) matters and class actions. Most recently, he served as the Chief Judicial Mediator for the Detroit Bankruptcy case—the largest, most complex municipal bankruptcy in our nation’s history—which resulted in an agreed upon, consensual plan of adjustment in just 17 months.

Judge Rosen is known for his commitment to public service and most especially for his leadership in the city of Detroit. We’re very proud he has been recognized with the Torch of Learning Award and congratulate him on this very prestigious honor.
