Hon. Lawrence E. Mooney (Ret.) Joins JAMS in St. Louis

St. Louis – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to welcome its newest addition, Hon. Lawrence E. Mooney (Ret.), to the panel. Judge Mooney brings over 21 years of distinguished service as a judge on the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, including a term as a chief judge.

From 2015 to his retirement, Judge Mooney served as his court’s settlement judge, screening all civil matters filed with the court in an effort to find opportunities for settlement prior to adjudication.

Judge Mooney has received consistent praise from both the court and litigants for his ability to identify effective alternatives to litigation. His background and experience with ADR make him a great fit for our growing panel in St. Louis.

Based in the St. Louis Resolution Center, Judge Mooney will serve as an arbitrator, mediator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator. He will practice in the areas of appellate, business/commercial, class action/mass tort, environmental, estates/probate/trusts, government/agency, insurance and personal injury/torts.

Judge Mooney received his B.A. in history at St. Louis University and earned his J.D. at St. Louis University School of Law.
