Sacramento, Calif. – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of Hon. Alan G. Perkins (Ret.) to its panel. Prior to joining JAMS, Judge Perkins served for 15 years as a judge on the Sacramento Superior Court, with the last eight years spent adjudicating complex litigation matters. Prior to being appointed to the court, Judge Perkins was a business litigator for three decades.
Based in the Sacramento Resolution Center, Judge Perkins will serve as an arbitrator and mediator, handling disputes involving business and commercial, construction, construction defect, employment, engineering, real property, bankruptcy, personal injury and torts, international and state probate matters.
Judge Perkins has extensive experience in the ADR field and is known for his preparation, organization and patience as he works with parties in resolving cases. We are honored that Judge Perkins will be joining the esteemed panel in Sacramento and are confident that he will thrive in this new role as a neutral at JAMS.
- Chris Poole, JAMS President and CEO
During his time on the bench, Judge Perkins handled a wide variety of civil assignments, including cases involving complex civil litigation, commercial and residential construction defects, personal injury and wrongful death, employment, probate and family law and the California Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act.
I believe that the most effective way to resolve disputes is by preparing effectively and being patient when hearing all elements of a case. Becoming a JAMS neutral is an exciting next step for me and I’m eager to apply the skills I’ve honed over the years to this new chapter of my career.
- Hon. Alan G. Perkins (Ret.), JAMS Neutral
Judge Perkins received his A.B. from the University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. from UC Davis School of Law.
