Malibu, Calif. – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that neutral Judge Weinstein has been named distinguished mediator in residence at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law. Drawing on his three-plus decades of experience, Judge Weinstein will co-teach courses alongside Professor Sukhsimranjit Singh, who is the Judge Danny Weinstein managing director at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.

On January 28, the Caruso School of Law hosted a virtual reception to celebrate Judge Weinstein’s contributions to mediation and the role that he has served in the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law family as a mentor and friend. The event was attended by top school officials, board members and fellows of the Weinstein International Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making mediation accessible worldwide in the face of increasing global challenges and conflict.

I could not be prouder to join this community that means so much to me. I’m looking forward to sharing my experience and helping aspiring mediators refine and craft their dispute resolution abilities.

- Judge Weinstein

Judge Weinstein is known as one of the nation’s preeminent mediators of complex, multi-party, high-stakes disputes both domestically and abroad. He is regarded as a pioneer in the development of mediation and has lectured in front of legal professionals across the country. Last year, the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Caruso School of Law presented Judge Weinstein with its Peacemaker Award, its highest honor, in recognition of his career-long dedication to furthering ADR.

Throughout his career, Judge Weinstein has kept a steady focus on driving the development of mediation, and we are confident that with his wealth of experience, he will be a tremendous asset for the Caruso School of Law. We are delighted to see his continued engagement with supporting the legal community and are proud to have him on our panel.
