Q. Can you tell us about your practice before you served on the bench? A. Over my 30-plus years in private practice, I handled a broad variety of civil cases, including trials of construction, medical malpractice and civil rights cases, as well as business disputes. In the last dozen years, my practice was more focused on business litigation, in particular securities litigation and disputes between co-venturers in business enterprises. During this time, I frequently represented the accounting industry, including all of the Big Four accounting firms.
