Join JAMS neutral, Hon. Elizabeth Allen White (Ret.), for the upcoming CLA Solo and Small Firm Summit 2021. During this two-day program, Judge White and a panel of other distinguished speakers will discuss mediation strategies for solo practitioners and small firms on June 24, 2021 from 11:30AM-12:30PM (Pacific).

Most civil cases can and do settle before trial, but some litigants are hesitant to participate in private mediation because of the cost. Yet, the cost savings for mediation and settlement may far exceed the cost of proceeding to trial, especially in light of pandemic-related court closures and resultant clogged civil dockets which are turning clients to mediation and arbitration for speedier resolutions.

During this panel, lawyers of all levels of experience will take away helpful tips and strategies for participating in more efficient and effective mediation. The panelists are retired Superior Court judges with more than 35 combined years of judicial experience, who conducted "free" mandatory settlement conferences on the bench, and are now private neutrals.
